Okay start with the one game 2nite.

Ottawa visits Hamilton needing to win their last 3 games to make the playoffs and needing Hamilton to lose their last 3. Good thing for Ottawa is they play Hamilton 2 out of the 3 games, including tonight. However the other game Ottawa has is against Montreal so the odds are really stacked against this team.

Ottawa lost starting QB K. Joseph for the remainder of the year last week with a shoulder dislocation. Backup D. Kennedy is a decent qb but a definite drop in level compared to Joseph. Last week when he came in after the injury he led Ottawa back from a 14 pt deficit to briefly hold a lead late in the game before Ottawa surrendered the winning TD with seconds left to Saskatchewan. However the comeback was keyed by a 100+ missed FG return for TD on special teams and I still wasn't really impressed with his play. His accuracy was inconsistent but maybe it was due to lack of playing time... Bottom line for Ottawa is that their defense is one of the worst units in the league, if not the worst. They can neither stop the run or pass, especially the pass. They made a roster change for one of their cornerbacks this week which will help (the one guy last week comitted several key interference calls) but only slightly.

I'm starting to like Hamilton a lot with their balanced offense and pressure D. Their secondary has also picked up a lot since making changes a few games back. As I said last week their front 4 on defense is relentless and allows little time for opposing QB's. I expect a lot of the load to fall on Ottawa RB J. Ranek with screens and shovel passes trying to take advantage of the aggresive nature of Hamilton's defense.

All in all Hamilton should clinch a playoff spot tonight and end the disastrous season for Ottawa. Historically Hamilton has always been a great home team (I know this year they are 1 game under 500) and Ottawa is not good on the road. As long as Hamilton QB D. McManus doesn't throw away the game,(he does like to throw picks) I don't see how they lose.

I've noticed the weather calls for winds at almost 20mph which could be significant. Its hard to say how significant because I don't know which way it is blowing. I don't think this will be a crucial, although maybe they will run more?

9 is a lot of points to lay, I rarely lay this sort of number and Ottawa will not go down without a fight...

So in conclusion today is no different then any other, I will not lay the 9.

Obviously I lean Hamilton.

Well I wrote a lot of nonsense for no reason, I hope you enjoyed my analysis.

Perhaps I will have a play 2morrow...

Regular play Over 54, -105 in the Montreal/BC game.

Both defenses are struggling at the moment and these are 2 of the best scoring teams in the league. This includes special teams.

I fully expect a shoot out in this contest.

Montreal 33-27
